My duties consist of answering incoming calls helping with completing orders, charging credit cards, runs insurance for patients to verify if the medication is approved or will need prior authorization paperwork, If the medication requires prior authorizations send the correct forms to the physician’s office. Letting the MD office know exactly what is needed to complete and get an approved prioe authorization. Answer incoming phones calls from patient or Physician who calls the specialty department to set up deliveries to infusion centers or MD offices. Calls the copay assistance company to correct the claims that are rejecting that are supposed to be approved. Help the patient get signed up for copay assistance or go through the process and help get free medication from manufacturer. Also, sends refill request to the MD office if the electronic refill request fails. Types refills that have been sent in by the MD office for approval, runs prescriptions that the patient or MD office calls for and fix failed orders. Conduct peer to peer interviews with candidates for the specialty and processing team.
