I’ve been involved with numerous team projects such as the Stores Maintenance Inventory Team.
The Mission Statement was to improve manufacturing tool uptime, reduce cost, and relocate spare parts to point of use. I was elected by the team as the Team Leader. I used my technical, business, and computer skills to challenge, mentor, and motivate the team members to utilize Microsoft tools such as Excel, Project, Power Point programs. The team worked closely with Fairchild’s Purchasing, Process & Maintenance Engineering Departments and reduced the number of external vendors from 800 to 600, as well as negotiates best pricing. Average cost saving per item was 20%.
Implemented inventory control software and barcode readers, which reduced labor requirements for additional cost savings. Investment of $250K, project completion was approx. 1 years, and ROI was > $1.5 million.
Inventor of US Patent 6,041,817, International Classification GO5D 1600 for Fairchild Semiconductor.
Represented Fairchild EHS Department at the SESHA Conference in San Jose Ca. in 2007.
