(MIMIX and Itera) initial setup, implementation and maintenance. Selected achievements:

Launched /Analyzed/Managed a major initiative at this $4B company. Spearheaded this $4.5M project. Originated/Planned/Managed/Designed/Coded/Implemented a state of the art replacement for 5 antiquated processes, which saved $2M and improved customer service.

Site was experiencing considerable downtime because of AS/400 capacity. Responsible for project with a two week lead time. Sized the hardware based on Performance Analysis and Capacity Analysis. Launched/Analyzed/Managed/Planned/Implemented consolidation of multiple AS/400’s to a single server. Conducted needs analysis; performance analysis using AS/400 performance tools and Best1; developed project plan; coordinated and implemented the consolidation project with a savings of $110K yearly on software subscription, support line and hardware maintenance.

Originated/Launched/Established a cost saving alternative to SNA. V3R2 of Client Access/400 (CA/400) would not run on V5R2 of OS/400. Powerbuilder was being used on the PC, which communicated to the COBOL running on the AS/400 using Client Access/400 for connectivity. CA/400 used SNA to connect to the AS/400. Resolved by writing a project plan to setup AnyNet on the AS/400. Worked with the Mainframe team to get AnyNet setup on the Mainframe. Piloted the change on one of Yellow’s AS/400’s. Two weeks later the change was rolled out to all 50 AS/400’s without issues. This change positioned Yellow for the future by allowing OS/400 to be upgraded to the current release. Without this solution, Yellow would have spent $300K to rewrite the SNA to TCP/IP.

Researched/Designed/Created away to replace old token-ring routers. Designed and created a project plan. Presented the proposal to management and several cross-functional teams. Fielded questions. The project saved the company

$1.5 million.
