HOBBIES & INTERESTS

I was a mentor for S.A. Youth for Christ for 1yr. Basketball & Baseball coach for NWLL for 1 yr. and the Pride Youth Basketball for 2yrs. I am also a UIL, Basketball Referee for 26 years, and NCAA referee for 8yrs. I am involved in civic and community activities with my church and community groups.

SKILLS

I am proficient, intermediate level, with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, Windows, also 10-key by touch and type 40 wpm. I am familiar with Salesforce, the Ellie Mae Encompass platform and the EMPOWER program for originating and managing home loans. I am a highly effective communicator both internally and externally.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Velocio Mortgage LLC, ABA for Cornerstone Home lending, June 2023 – September 2023

In this temporary MLO role, I originated home loans based on agency and government loan guidelines. Representing the preferred lender for Ashton Woods, home builder, I received referrals from my assigned community sales consultants. I also independently generated referrals from outside sources. I helped guide borrowers from prequalification to closing.

Regions Bank, Mortgage Loan Officer III, September 2023 – June 2023

As an MLO III, I originated home loans based on agency and government loan guidelines, as well as bank portfolio products, CRA and emerging professional loan products. Along with Bank referrals, I also independently generated referrals from outside sources. Center of influence include Realtors, Financial advisors, Insurance agents, etc. I guided borrowers from prequalification to closing, and helped to increase sales here in San Antonio.

For the first time, I became a licensed RMLO in January 2021. I originated, advised, and guided first time or next home buyers and investors through the home loan process from prequalification to closing. I worked exclusively with the builder and my assigned new home consultants to increase production. Previously, with Lennar homes, as a sales/New Home Consultant, I played a key role in helping to increase sales for various new communities here in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. In my first 6 months, I moved up to the top 20 out of 80 in sales.

I served consumer and commercial customers face-to-face and over the phone with teller transactions, new accounts and loans in 3 of our flagships, high volume financial centers. I exceeded quarterly referral goals, qualified for an annual bonus, and served in a supervisory role during opening, closing and daily cash balancing.

I helped to establish the new disclosure department; I sent Home Loan initial and closing e-disclosures to potential borrowers within the required TRID-RESPA time frames. I provided support by phone and email to Loan officers, processors, and underwriters.

As a collector and SME from January 2014 – January 2016, I made direct contact calls to members, initiating and processing loan modifications, due date changes, within department guidelines. I provided support to the branches and the Collection and Asset Disposal Manager to reduce loan losses to the credit union and stakeholders, and ensured all notices and correspondences were sent in compliance with the FDCPA. Previously, was a member service rep, and was given a promotion to CSA.

I was directly responsible for recruiting and increasing the number of participating private and charter schools from 5 to approx. 75. I was responsible for overseeing high school sports and academic events, representing approx. 8000 students throughout Texas. As a mortgage originator under the bank, I assisted our military community with qualifying for their next or first home loan. I also advised members on our realtor program to connect them with professional agents to help them locate a new home. Achieved limited underwriting authority and received 2 annual bonuses based on my performance individually, on my team, and contributing to the bank’s overall success.
