SKILLS

● Performed all duties needed in the Sterile Processing Department as a contractor.

following cases.

both Censitrac and SPM for count sheets.

● Knowledge in multiple office equipment such as label printers, printers, and high

performance in data entry.

● Developed and implemented quality assurance improvements with team members.

● Working as a traveler in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital, performing several

high-level disinfections, ultrasonics, washers/disinfectors in the decontamination

area.

● Maintained a clean and safe environment while observing all personal protective

equipment standards, precautions, and infection control practices.

● My daily performances involved: disassembling, decontamination, assembling,

sterilizing (Steam & Sterrad), and storing procedure trays, instruments, equipment,

and supplies where needed.

● Clean soiled instruments from the OR and utilizes ultrasonic before passing through

the washer/decontaminators. Knowledge in reprocessing endoscopes.

● Follow specific guidelines for cleaning delicate instruments such as pediatric trays.

● Prep and pack trays in the clean area for sterilization using both steam and Sterrad

following the IFUs and hospital guidelines.

● Pick cases for the following day or for cases added the day of.

● Maintain a workflow by being compliant with the hospital policies and procedures.

● Process soiled instruments with proper PPE and disassemble trays needed for manual

cleaning or ultrasonic cleaning.

● Load clean instruments onto the washer/decontaminator.

● Assemble trays and wrap items needed for the next case or add-ons for the day.

● Sterile trays using either Steam or Vpro according to the IFUs.

● Maintain proper documentation daily.
