To use my skills as a legal advocate to help others who need my expertise and experience, whether individual clients or attorneys.
Experience
January 2017 – Present
Legal Advocate, JP LEGAL SOLUTIONS
I work as a contract paralegal for several different attorneys in the area. I have also done a lot of Federal criminal law for inmates over the last few years on my own at a discounted rate and helped to release 23 people from incarceration. I helped other inmates get sentence reductions and detainers dismissed. I believe that everyone should have access to qualified legal assistance and I try to be that person. I am always willing to reach out and help in any way that I can. I have seen the injustice in our criminal justice system as a victim and want to see true justice achieved.
August 1997 – January 2017
Legal Assistant/Paralegal, VARIETY OF LAWFIRMS
I started out working for Stephen Porto in family law and personal injury, as well as his brother Joe Porto in criminal law, doing contract work. I worked at Bain & Bain doing civil litigation, personal injury, and family law. I worked for Colleen McClure, doing all general practice work including estate law, family, criminal, civil, and personal injury. I have also had the pleasure of working at Bracewell & Patterson, Arnold, White, and Durkee, Shepherd, Smith, and Bebel, and others doing temporary assignments.
