I transferred to this Tennessee office from Palatka FL with a promotion and retired May 2010; nineteen years service with the Federal Government.

1999 to 2009 Service Representative for the Social Security Administration Federal Government, Putnam County, Palatka FL. Transferred with promotion from the Jacksonville FL Social Security Office. My immediate supervisor at the Palatka FL address was Terry Williams and the office Manager was Arpana Fernandez. I posted time and attendance for the entire office of ten employees. Answered office phone to assist customers with their enquiries. Resolved customer enquiries by updating their address, locating a lost payment or reissuing a payment. Processed prison alerts and disability reviews. I worked at the reception window daily, assisting clients with their disability, retirement and social security card issues. Assessed their needs and problems, resolving each issue. Typed letters and processed the mail. I managed face to face interviews with clients to help them file their disability reviews and fill out forms. I updated their file and shipped their disability review file to the proper payment center for processing. I performed many other duties as assigned: Office reports; filing; copying documents; assisted co-workers in their line of duty and assisted in training them on certain procedures.

I assisted the customer service representative with all aspects of the Social Security system. This included: interviews regarding representative payees; overpayments; medicare issues; death alerts; prison alerts; earnings and wages. I also processed the mail for the entire office as well as the voice mail. In 1999 I was transferred to the Palatka Florida Social Security Office with a promotion.
