My Primary Role was to keep Tata Steel compliant under the CDM Regulations 2015. The former Murco Milford Haven Oil Refinery ceased refining operation in 2014. The owners Murco Petroleum Ltd sold the site to Puma Energy UK Limited (PEL) who now operate the tank farm assets as an Oil Storage Terminal. At the time of the sale, Murco also sold the former process area assets to Cnergyico Acisal Incorporated (CAI) who are removing and transporting a number of the former process units to Pakistan for reuse at one of their facilities. The remaining assets are being demolished.

Whilst the demolition and dismantling activities are ongoing, overall responsibility of the dismantling and demolition site rests with CAI and Murco. The demolition and dismantling work is being performed by WRD Limited (Principal Contractor) on behalf of CAI. CAI required an experienced Construction professional with CDM compliance knowledge.

My duties included:

Keep the project Stakeholders in Compliance of the HSE CDM 2015 Regulations.

Review Principal Designer (ABB) and Principal Contractor (WRD) practice and adherence to the CDM 2015 regulations.
