During summer 2022, worked for primary care doctor Dr. Lucas Dreamer. Assisted him with research about the geographical and racial implications of Depression Stigma. Collected data by surveying patients in the waiting room and his office. Entered data into Excel. Shadowed doctor during appointments.
During summer 2023, worked for primary care doctor Dr. Melissa Lee. Assisted with research about effectiveness of exercise program for older adults. Taught geriatric patients and adult primary care patients seated exercises using resistance bands. At the Christopher Blenman Senior Center, taught seniors these exercises as well as classes about diabetes prevention as part of the NYC H&H Healthy Lifestyles program. Collected data through surveying patients, administered follow-ups via phone call. Entered data into Excel. Currently in the process of writing an abstract and creating a research poster to present at Suny Downstate Annual Research Day.

Worked for nonprofit to alleviate personal protective equipment shortages nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic, through research and outreach efforts. Led and trained new interns and volunteers, created infographics and advertisements for the organization's social media, interacted with hospitals and nursing homes professionally by phone or email to coordinate PPE orders and shipments.

UCLA Heat Lab March 2024 - Present
Directed by Dr. Bharat Venkat, the UCLA Heat Lab is an interdisciplinary effort to study the experience of thermal inequality. I work with fellow undergraduate students, as well as graduate students, postdocs, and faculty to study the intersections of climate change and community health. Current projects include Heat and Incarceration, Heat and Aging, Heat and Immigration, Sleep and Thermal Comfort, and more.
