Michael Hepworth Projects for 2017 to 2023

Budgeted and started a Construction Management at Risk Services major addition and renovation at the Lake Worth High Community High School campus for Palm Beach County School Board. Consisting of new classrooms, administrative offices, counselors' offices, new media center/library, science labs, and a life skills instruction area. Also includes new paving, landscaping ADA compliance and utilities. Replacement of HVAC equipment, flooring, doors, windows, and classroom, restroom renovations, new fire alarm and repair of paving in parking and roadway areas. Budget was $31m.

New construction of Construction Management at Risk Services for campus site improvements at Stuart Middle School for Martin County School Board. The project includes the demolition of the existing administration building and construction of a new two-story administration/media center and central energy plant. Site improvements include a new ball field, two basketball courts, an expanded parking area, and bus loop. Project budget was $27m. Completed a Construction Management at Risk Services project for the electronics and security systems renewal and replacement to the 600,000sf Palm Beach County Main Courthouse in West Palm Beach FL, for the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. The night phased project included upgrades and replacement of closed-circuit surveillance and video management systems; jail locking controls; security management and duress systems; card access systems; intercom systems; elevator control systems; fire alarm systems; programmable logic controllers; and command and operations centers. Along with courtroom renovations, HVAC, plumbing and electrical upgrades. Project budget was $36m.

Completed a fast-track design build to the Lassiter Center of Palm Beach Atlantic University. Preconstruction squeezed to 8 weeks and 24 weeks of construction, I managed a complete renovation to the dining hall, kitchen, coffer shop and convenience market. Assembling a team including architect, engineers, and food service consultant for the design phase, we proceeded with demolition. Working through the design with the Owner, permitting and construction; we completed the project on time in only 6 months. The original budget project was $5m. Completed a new 163,000 sf student residence hall on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University. The eight story 154 one- and two-bedroom units with full kitchens and double occupancy accommodations for 510 beds, large meeting/ conference space, community and private spaces on each floor. Budget was $71m.

Project prior to 2017

8-story, 392,000 sf building renovation for Medical University of South Carolina features 32 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) beds, surgical operating suites, a pediatric outpatient clinic. Renovation of labor and delivery rooms, kitchenette areas, 64 postpartum mother and baby rooms. Existing 15 labor and delivery rooms were modernized and reconfigured, which created a new total of 16 labor and delivery rooms. 3 C-section suites were refurbished. A makeover of 9 postpartum luxury suites. Budget was $100m.
