RESPONSIBILITIES

While I was in California (1985 to 2021) and residing in Orange county, as a drainage design engineer, I was responsible for planning, design, coordination and completion of drainage portion of the private or public work type of projects including but not limited to preparation of Storm drain plans and profiles, Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) analysis and calculations, using AES and Civil Design software for analyzing Rational Method, Unit Hydrograph, Flood Routing, Cach Basin sizing Calculating Hydraulic gradient (HGL) of Storm sewer systems using WSN (WSPGN) and prepared Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Water Quality Management Plans (WQMP), Standard Urban Storm Water Mitigation Plans (SUSMP) and Low Impact Development) LID reports. Prepared commercial / industrial site Grading Plans, Utility Layout, Horizontal Control, and erosion control plans. In my last position and as a project manager, my responsibilities expanded from design to review, design and plan checking other designer’s work. Mentoring design technicians and assisting my supervisor in preparing proposals and budgeting the projects. I have performed hydrology analysis in the Cities of Broken Arrow, Owasso, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and a few other surrounding cities. Even though my major expertise is in the field of drainage design, I am open to expanding my knowledge and experience in different fields of civil engineering if given the opportunity.

Summary of my past assignments and responsibilities have been:

Preliminary meeting and coordination with project manager(s) / Architects and assigned team of engineers/designers for completion of each project.

Project site investigation and existing data preparation.

Designing Preliminary site grading, including utility and storm Drain system layout using Auto CAD.

Hydrology data input preparation and analysis according to government agency’s guidelines and requirements (rational method, small unit hydrograph or unit hydrograph depending on project size).

Preparing Storm drain improvement plans using Auto CAD.

Preparing Hydraulic analysis and finalizing storm drain pipes and catch basin sizes.

Preparing hydrology and hydraulic project reports and finalizing storm drain quantities and cost. Project submittal and respond to agency’s comments and recommendations for final project approval.

Preparing SWPPP, LID, SUSMP or WOMP report(s) if required.

Construction meetings and construction site coordination. Structural shop drawing reviews and water quality design and coordination with manufacturing firms regarding water quality filtration products.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Following are summary list of some of the projects:

ORCHARD HILLS – Location: City of Irvine, California.

This 4230-acre property Consist of 4600 residential units on approximately 706 acres in four neighborhoods. 15 acres of retail site, 33 acres of park and 26 acres of school site. Planed and designed 5 Water Quality Basins, prepared a Plan and profile for 41300 L.F. of storm drain sized from 18 to 102 inches in diameter (approximately 96 sheets of storm drain improvement plans). Analyzed hydrology for entire site including offsite tributary areas and calculated hydraulics for entire storm drain system that resulted in 7 volumes of hydrology and hydraulic report.

APARTMENTS IN SPECTRUM – Location: city of Irvine, California.

Prepared Final hydrology analysis and storm drain improvement plans for this 550-unit apartments.

THE PRESERVE – Location: City of Chino, California.

Prepared preliminary hydrology and hydraulic calculations for this 623-acre property. This site was divided into 5 phases of residential / commercial /park and school type developments. The site consisted of 3 water quality basins and approximately 36740 L.F. of storm drains.

HERITAGE LAKE - Located in the City of Menifee, County of Riverside, California.

PACIFIC RIDGE - Located in the City of New Port Beach, County of Orange, California.

WARM SPRINGS VALLEY - Located in the City of French Valley, County of Riverside, California.
