Showroom internship provided experience in the diversity of textiles and floor coverings, and how they are constructed to create exquisite fabrics. High end furniture retailer, I was well versed on the relationships between showroom and designer and how the sales and ordering processes.

Fuqua Fine Furniture - Seattle, WA – April –July 2010 Customized furniture design and fabrication. Intern experience provided firsthand experience in some of the techniques and practices used to assemble furniture. Increased knowledge about where exotic woods come from, wood grains and patterns, veneers, construction and staining techniques, and the conceptual phase of furniture design including where the Interior Designer/furniture maker fit in.

VOLUNTEER / COMMUNITY SERVICE / ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE On site facilities repair for Good Samaritan Hospital for their employee child care facility. Joining in community efforts annually to assist in facility maintenance and repair. Our team has been featured in the “News Tribune” as concerned members of the effort.
