As an intern, I witnessed process from the conceptual phase to near completion. Provided AutoCAD, sketch-up, drawings daily and assisted in the library. Received further experience with new and innovative textiles, products, and design processes including tile, flooring, and building specifications. Gained valuable knowledge from practicing interior designers on how the design process works. Trammell Gagne' - Seattle Design Center – August - December 2010 A textile and furniture showroom for manufacturers such as Pollack, Brentano, Kyle Bunting, Christian Bellinger, and more. Showroom internship provided experience in the diversity of textiles and floor coverings, and how they are constructed to create exquisite fabrics. High end furniture retailer, I was well versed on the relationships between showroom and designer and how the sales and ordering processes.

Fuqua Fine Furniture - Seattle, WA – April –July 2010 Customized furniture design and fabrication. Intern experience provided firsthand experience in some of the techniques and practices used to assemble furniture. Increased knowledge about where exotic woods come from, wood grains and patterns, veneers, construction and staining techniques, and the conceptual phase of furniture design including where the Interior Designer/furniture maker fit in.

VOLUNTEER / COMMUNITY SERVICE / ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE On site facilities repair for Good Samaritan Hospital for their employee child care facility. Joining in community efforts annually to assist in facility maintenance and repair. Our team has been featured in the “News Tribune” as concerned members of the effort. Working with children with Autism, aiding in facilitation of occupational therapy and integrating children successfully into to the school system through love and rehabilitation. Several years’ experience working in furniture restoration; taking antiquities, and transforming them into unique pieces of artwork, to include upholstery and structural repairs.
