PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

While at Better Brake Parts Inc, created a process to enforce and maintain timely corrective actions and resolution for parts that were being rejected. With a 5-day deadline to provide disciplinary action, designed Excel spreadsheets to track details of parts that were rejected, including root cause of rejection, and corrective actions taken. As a result, tracking of manufacturer’s performance was improved.

Determining that a Chinese manufacturer was unable to correctly provide bolts plated to BBP’s specifications, negotiated a new contract to receive the bolts unplated, then outsourced the plating to a U. S. manufacturer. After successful renegotiation of transportation and plating costs with the Chinese manufacturer, completely resolved the issue and manufacturer shipments improved by 100%.

Effectively identified low performing manufacturer of steel levels that did not meet BBP’s standard strength specification, rejected the shipment, and sent out part for re-work consisting of heating treatment and plating. After taking corrective action and adjusting contract terms, the manufacturer corrected the heat treatment process, completely resolving the issue with rejected parts from this manufacturer.
