I am an accountant with over eighteen years of corporate accounting experience and over twenty-three years of additional experience in other roles, such as demand planning, price coordination, and cost analysis. I was very involved in the monthly closing of several petrochemical plants, each with unique production processes and product mixes. Although my primary experience as an accountant was in a petrochemical manufacturing environment, I can fill any required accounting role.

I have relied heavily on Microsoft Excel to perform various analytical, reconciliation, and budgeting tasks. I have over thirty-two years of experience as an Excel user and have developed expertise using this software. I have recently added Power Query to the array of analytical tools I have used on the job. I have twenty years of SAP experience, including Business Warehouse, and I served as a department Power User for both. My experience using ERP systems gives me the confidence to use any ERP platform with minimal training.

I performed monthly closing for three Polystyrene plants, a Polyethylene plant, and a Styrene Unit.

I merged three polystyrene plants into a consolidated reporting entity for enhanced analysis and reporting to senior management. Merging the plants also greatly simplified the presentation of results to management.

I analyzed the income statement using price volume mix variances against the budget and the previous month, interpreted the results, and presented the analysis to accounting management.

I produced, consolidated, and entered the operating budgets for all petrochemical plants.

I produced monthly reconciliations of the raw materials purchase accounts payable account, plus any other general ledger account as required by management.

I created and maintained assigned work papers for our annual audit in a successful effort to conserve resources and reduce the audit cost.
