Experienced Foreman with 10+ years’ experience providing oversight and professional supervision across wide variety of commercial and residential construction projects dealing with wide range of small to large budgets. Skilled in coordination and clear communication with all levels including between Project Managers, Superintendents, Contractors, Sub-Contractors and laborers to collaborate for project completion that is both on time and within budget.

AREAS OF EXPERIENCE:

General Foreman / Superintendent Experience:

●20+ years’ combined experience working on site as Finishing Carpenter, Foreman, General Foreman, and Assistant Superintendent on a wide variety of construction projects and contracts spanning multiple industries including commercial, residential tracks, hospitals, schools, retail stores, malls, arenas, and stadiums

●General Foreman experience guiding and directing crews of up to 60 performing finish work

●General Foreman CA project constructing in Apple Park; oversee crews of 30-45 members

●Experience providing oversite and guidance to working crew for both commercial and residential track projects from groundbreaking and foundation to finishing work and full completion

●Managing employee hours to stay within budgetary agreements and communicating when needed if unforeseen issues arise that would extend costs in any area

●Facilitate and lead daily meetings that provide overview and updates or changes

●Demonstrated experience evaluating costs, managing costs, and budget constraints

●Training apprentices on methods, operation of equipment, safety, and company policies

●Adjusting schedules for delivery of machinery, tools, materials, and labor due to changes in production

●Analysis of worker and production problems and recommending solutions such as improving production order, methods, labor needs, planning, and submitting Requests for Information (RFI) to address necessary changes to blueprints or schematics

●Maintain accurate daily activity logs and progress regularly communicating to various parties including Superintendents, Project Managers, Customers, and Sub-Contractors

Quality Control & Safety:

●Inspect and monitor work progress, equipment, construction site for safety and to ensure project is done to specifications and contractual obligations are met

●Oversite on safety of delivery of materials to ensure worksite safety and on time delivery to avoid rush and hazards created by having multiple sub-contractors and vendors arrive or perform work at once

●Extremely attentive to review of blueprints and schematics against pre-checking worksite for proper measurements to maintain a high quality finish upon first completion to avoid added expense/time

●Performance of detailed review of work at each phase during project before moving to next phase to ensure quality workmanship and safety requirements

●Review equipment and materials upon delivery to make adjustments as needed

●Set high standard for all on site to perform regular and continual cleanliness of debris to minimize hazards and ensure safe work environment for all

●Review and implement all safety protocol and PPE to meet or exceed safety requirements

●Promote a positive morale at the work site to ensure harmonious work environment

Organization & Communication Skills:

●Communicate with office staff including Project Managers, Owners, Human Resources, and/or other project representatives regarding ongoing progress and any changes

●Frequent and clear communication with employees, sub-contractors, and general contractor throughout

●Management of documentation; ensuring accurate completion of paperwork to track work progress and note any modifications going for review

●Tracking employees schedules and shifts against contractual agreement and costs

●Maintain schedule and report to General Contractor daily and updates and pictures as needed

●Manage and communicate any changes that are sent for approval for Requests for Information (RFI)

●Coordination with sub-contractors and other tradesmen for RFI

●Troubleshoot plumbing/electrical contract work that needed to be modified to complete finishes

●Experienced reading blueprints and schematics to review scope of project

●Demonstrated ability to stay aware of and in compliance with state and federal regulations

●Negotiated resolution with staff, labor, contractors, and vendors when needed

Customer Service Skills:

●Experience communicating in-person and virtually (email and phone) to ensure confidence in ability

●Demonstrated ability to break down complex concepts and into more manageable pieces to help customer understand parameters and problem solving that occurs on site

●Able to adapt to changing needs should they arise and assess how this impacts contractual obligations and prior agreements which includes negotiating changes throughout a project

●Professionally handle unpleasant or difficult situations to resolution with the goal of maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction
