Engineering and Projects Management. (E&PM)

The Engineering and Project Management is in charge of evaluating and executing the investment projects and operational improvements of the plants that make up the corrugated division. Mechanical and civil area manages from start to finish the mechanical and civil works associated with the projects administered by the Engineering Management. My team was conformed by 2 mechanical engineers, 2 draughtsman and 1 civil works senior consultant. The works include the development and / or review of engineering, the quotation, award and supervision of the assembly of various equipment and all complementary systems. Some functions of my position were the following: Cooperate in the search for the best solution for each project, prepare the Capex of each investment in regards to mechanical and civil works, review external engineering and plans, creation and review of specifications, quote, negotiate and award jobs, coordination with different areas. Supervise implementations and assembly of equipment in plants of the Biopackaging group. During the development of the projects, together with a PMO engineer, physical and financial progress reports were generated.

Between September 2013 and October 2015, I participated in the construction of a cogeneration plant, a 70 million USD project, which generates process steam and electrical energy for the Puente Alto complex. As manager of the mechanical area, I was responsible for reviewing the integration engineering with the existing plant, coordinating and supervising assembly work of the equipment involved: Turbine, heat recovery boiler, piping, fire protection network, water plant, gas compressors, buildings, etc. CMPC BIOPACKAGING-CORRUGADOS May-09 / Mar-10
