I currently work at a brand new hotel. I work the front desk. I answer all incoming calls, make reservations, check guest in and check guest out, balance the cash drawer daily, run reports, I run night audit, keep front desk organized and clean, complete a checklist every shift keeping the hotel clean and at this hotel whoever is working front desk also does laundry (wash, dry, and fold). I love greeting and accomodating the guest. After the guest check in we call them to make sure that they are satisfied with their room and remind them that if they need anything that someone is always working at the front desk and they can call us anytime. I work different shifts but I really like second shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Check in time starts at 3:00 so I get to do a lot of check in's. We are the first person the guest see when they arrive to the hotel. This initial meeting will make or break the guest whole experience at our hotel. I work well under pressure and can definitely multitask. I am a good problem solver, I get along with everyone, and I am very flexible when it comes to what shift I might be working.
