Managed and led all procurement staff for an OEM supplier heavily focused on injection-molded finished components to all North American-based over-the-road truck manufacturers and numerous large fleet operators. Created tactical processes and established weekly review meetings with top suppliers. Leveraged better pricing with longer forecasts. Relocated molds/tooling from non-performing suppliers to new suppliers. Drove implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to verify all drawing revisions are correct for RFQs and improve new product launch and was procurement lead for IATF audit verifying compliance and ISO requirements. Worked with production and sales teams daily to ensure few stock-outs in production operations which relied overwhelmingly on OM forecasts vs. firm contracted demand. Responsible for all escalations from buyers for all product lines with suppliers due to long lead times, on-time deliveries (OTD), quality issues, and unresponsive suppliers affecting our manufacturing. Worked daily with cross-functional teams, including Operations Management, Engineering, QA, PM, and Sales. Resolved issues with customer orders and identified new opportunities for sourcing of aging nuclear power plant commodities. While my husband was assigned to the American Embassy in Sofia Bulgaria, joined IWC and after 3 months was elected its President. Coordinated meetings with host country agencies and other non-governmental organizations to provide aid to women's and children's medical facilities and orphanages in the capital city. Organized several fundraising events yearly, and increased donations by nearly 100% in one year. Increased membership by 70%, as well as the number of countries represented, and raised the visibility of the organization.
