My name is Maria. I am a Ukrainian native, a writer and an avid advocate for environmental solutions.

My passion lies in writing and communication, and I am looking for an opportunity where I can apply myself best.

I easily find contact with people and enjoy collaborating in group. I love a good brainstorming session and feels especially happy being able to find a creative solution to a problem. I am an optimist and enjoy creating a happy atmosphere at my place of work.

I strive to make an impact, whether it is a project that I dedicate my time to or a brief meeting, where I can improve someone’s day.

My current and previous work experience in the restaurant and catering industry, has shown me the value of correct communication with different levels of seniority and multitude of people. I am proud of my ability to easily communicate and find the correct words to relay my thoughts. As stressful as the restaurant business is, I was motivated by the simultaneous stress factors that often presented themselves during different shifts. Working at the IT company has taught me a brand new level of communication, since I had to be in constant contact with technical-minded people and customer support. I was successful in creating a trusting atmosphere during team-building exercises.

For the past several years I have been re-discovering my interests and dedicating time to my strengths: writing, creating events and art. I developed and led a public speaking class in Ukraine and taught several language groups. Currently, I am working on starting an improv school in Lansing.
