Responsible for the day to day operations of the Palo Alto firewall hardware/VM’s and F5 LTM devices which involved deployments, upgrades, implementing security/NAT/authentication policies, SSL cert renewals etc.

Provided technical support to end users and staff assisting with troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization of Palo Alto Network solutions. Utilized Palo Alto’s packet capture feature along with Wireshark to perform packet analyses on a needed basis.

Diagnosed and resolved network security issues which includes firewall misconfigurations, security policy violations and traffic flow problems. I opened TAC cases with Palo Alto Networks when assistance was needed after determining hardware was faulty. Performed RMA’s on said devices when necessary with data center engineers and lab owners.

Utilized Microsoft Excel when implementing bulk Palo Alto configurations through the CLI.

Maintained and kept up to the date the team’s publisher page which was the main source of information for other cross functioning teams. Created a “1 stop shop” page which housed all of our training resource material so that other engineers and users had a place to grab pertinent information with ease.
