Dear Chief Weber:
On behalf of the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, it was a pleasure visiting your department for a compliance inspection on September 20, 2000. I appreciate Chief Matous coming in on his day off to assist wrth the inspection; he was very cooperative and helpful. As a result of the inspec{ion, the following violations were noted. Protective Clothing -
Tim Johnson
Ho6O - No NFPA Standard Tag - Replaced on site
Jack Bennett
Gloves r Hole ln Shell - Replaced on site
Chris Petty
Bunker Pants - Moisture Barrier Failure - Replaced on site Mike Wisko
Bunker Pants - Frayed Cuffs - Replaced on site
Field testing for vapor barrier leakage was conducted on some of the bunker coats and bunker pants with one pair of bunker pants showing indication of leakage. lt is recommend
. that vapor barriers be checked on all of your bunker coats and pants, and if you find any evidence that breakdown has occurred you should replace the vapor barriers or contact your manufacturer for advice. (You are to be commended on taking a proactive approach in replacing the Breath-Tex barriers)
