INTRODUCTION:

I Richardt van Staden is semi skilled in Millwright (Electrician and Electronic Engineering [Light current]) with maintenance, repairing and fault finding in Glass packaging and Energy Storage Solutions. I am single, I love to read in my spare time on new developments or research on Technology or Quantum physics. As hobbies I watch F1, Kickboxing and long distance walks. I do want to relocate to the Netherlands, to have a safer future for myself and my future family. I love challenges that comes my way, so that I can learn and improve on myself and my skills so that I can implement it to my work environment. I will do everything in my power to expand my skills and experience, I realized I can do a lot more and work harder than the average person. I got used to the shift working hours in Ardagh Glass Packaging factory where you work 8 hours minimum and when you need to stand in for a person you work 16 hours straight. I am not afraid to learn, to be toughed or told how to do things differently or in a better way. One of my biggest dreams is to work in a factory, it fascinates me that the fact everything works in order and with one and another hand to hand. That’s why I do like to work with electricity and electronics its on the same principle. I started my Trainee Millwright by Ardagh, unfortunately couldn’t finish my training on the fact the company is having losses on their sales. They didn’t renew a few trainees contracts on the fact they were stopping production lines across the nation. I did learn a lot in that time from electrical and mechanical fault finding. I was taught how to change tools for a Job change, how to setup new bottle or articles on the machines. How to make sure the machines are working as intended, how to follow protocol and safety procedures. I went on a lot of different meetings and safety talks on how to follow proper SOP. When I did know the equipment in and out, I asked for different departments to teach me there producers and how do they do their Job that they were employed for.

I received training booklets for myself from the different departments so that I can expand my knowledge on the different processes and how is every step of the process deemed important. It helped me to know what to look out for and how to address issues as in critical defects if there was any made by the forming process. In a short time of being employed by Ardagh I was put on a line to run shift with 16 different machines under me. Some run on PLC others just on drivers and others are programmed. I learned quickly to understand the machines and how to maintain them if there was any breakdowns. I was later trusted by my bosses to train people on the inspection machines so that I can transfer my knowledge to them. I would stand in and help with breakdowns on equipment that wasn’t apart of my job description, but because we were a 24/7 running factory I would take the initiative to fix the problem before it become a whole plant issue. I was showed a few electrical blue prints and schematics to read and understand. I do understand the basics but I understand circuit boards a lot more.

In High Technical School John Vorster I was toughed for 3 years how to solder, read and design circuits from scratch. I know how to work with a soldering Iron, Multimeter, Oscilloscope and bread board. We did a lot of Practical assessments and we had to finish and build the projects. Every year we had different projects that got more difficult. Unfortunately with all the ambition, hard working and knowledge I didn’t receive a chance to get my degree. I am planning on doing it through a company or on my own, I am very determent on getting the degree as it’s the only thing getting in my way of proving that what I say I can do is fact.

EDUCATION
