WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Institution Year Post
1.International Oils & Fats 2013-2017 Mechanical Technician
Responsibilities:
1.Keeping daily records and writing of reports
2.Monitoring of machines
3.Pump servicing
4.Pipe fitting
5.Rigging work
6.Welding and fabrication works
7.Giving expert advice on certain tasks and in the acquisition of quality spare parts.
8.Working on crystalizer machine, separator machine, and pennevis filter machine.
Achievements:
1.I recommended for the Separator to be re-aligned to prevent belt damage which was occurring frequently and modify the discharge line on the separator to ensure the bellow lasted for a long period of time.
2.Suggesting for some valves on some of the production lines for easy operation and regulation of flows
3.Recommending quality pipes and sizes to be used on some specific areas within the flow lines to prevent spillage and ensure durability. Before, the pipes could easily burst due to poor quality but after my recommendation, that issue was solved.
4.I recommended the construction of a chimney on one Generator to improve ventilation and to avoid heat around the panels thereby regulating the entire room temperature.
5.I recommended for support to be given to some of the flow lines to prevent vibration on the line and on the pumps.
6.I suggested the introduction of flanges in some of the lines for easy maintenance and accessibility to reduce downtime when maintenance works are being carried out.
7.Helped in lifting any heavy equipment and machines by the use of hoist to save the organization the cost of hiring cranes for such purposes.
8.I trained a junior colleague to become an expert in pipe fitting, welding and fabrication.
9.Overhauling and servicing of crystallizer, separator, filter and other equipment’s.
2.Revy Trust Oil Ghana Ltd 2011-2013 Maintenance Officer

2.Monitoring of spare parts of factory equipment.
3.Preparing daily maintenance report.
4.Make Shure the machines perform good to have our propose target or more
Achievements:
1.The expected quantity of oil after pressing the Shea nuts is 58% but the process could only yield 35% before I was made the Maintenance Officer. Productivity in terms of yield increased from 35% to 40% during my time in charge. I reassembled the Expeller Cage by changing of spacers, barrel bars and knives and this led to the increase in yield.
2.I recommended Air Compressor in blowing of filter instead of steam, as was done before, to reduce moisture in oil and oil which in part also led to a radical increase in yield (productivity).
3.Modifying the Hammer Mill’s hammers to reduce the power consumption. Initially, the hammers were very heavy which led to higher consumption of power but upon my observation and recommendation, they were changed to lighter weight ones and Power consumption was reduced significantly.
4.Boilers were powered solely by firewood but I advised that the cake could be added to the firewood to prevent processing from coming to a halt when there is shortage of firewood. This came to pass when at a certain point in time, there was shortage of firewood and the organization had to depend solely on the cake I recommended.
5.Due to the timely servicing and maintenance of the machines, downtime was something less experienced unlike before I was put in charge.
