Illinois Political Campaign Statewide, Illinois

Managed the coalition building team to engage and mobilize voters within Illinois’ Hispanic, Black and Asian American communities.

Worked directly with Latino communities, business owners and social resource centers, on behalf of newly arrived immigrants living in shelters, to provide suitable housing and find employment.

Strike Team Leader - Crisis Outreach Management August 2021 – January 2022

Aerotek in partnership with Illinois Emergency Management Agency Statewide, Illinois

Trained and supervised teams consisting of licensed medical professionals, for successful completion of short term and long-term project goals. This included United States federal guideline instruction of properly delivering Agency curated messages.

Ensured that all team members adhered to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and FEMA rules and regulations.

Weekly management of team schedule, including time off requests and completion of timesheets, consistent with planned events and peak application canvassing hours.

Mediated and submitted daily incident reports for team members regarding general public interactions.

Developed strategy for promotion of State approved incentive program.

Created temporary vaccination clinics. Established locations throughout the State and working with county health officials to provide vaccines and medical staff to administer. Executed on-site events, beginning to end.

Strategist for State Representatives on issues important to the minority communities residing within their districts. Assessed district demographics, established relationships with community leaders and addressed concerns. Created strategic outreach plan to achieved goals and meet needs of constituents.

As project manager, using federal program grants designated for the New Americans Initiative, I initiated U.S. Citizenship Workshops throughout the State. These workshops partnered local resource agencies with their State Representatives, and helped people apply for naturalization.

This model I developed has been adopted by other states and now implemented throughout the nation. This program has aided thousands of immigrants residing in Illinois, to achieve U.S. citizenship.

Led campaign to pass multiple immigration reform laws. Negotiated critical legislation language and policy elements, resulting in bills passing as laws, including Temporary Visitor Driver’s License (TVDL), and the Trust Act.

Spokesperson on behalf of caucus Minority Leader for Spanish media and mediator with community leaders, and advocacy groups on proposed policy regarding issues within the minority communities.

Tailored community outreach strategy plans specific to each {over 40} State Representatives’ districts.

Responsible for developing and fostering partnerships with federal, state and municipal governments, international consulates and key leaders, in areas of education, labor, social issues and foreign relations.

Established strong minority owned business networks in the State. Developed business friendly informational seminars on the topic of federal and state rules and regulations regarding the employment process for hiring immigrant employees. Including steps for filling out federal Form I-129, and other necessary employment documentation.

Created presentations educating State Representatives on federal immigration processes and laws, also updates regarding constant changes on immigration reform, specific to DACA legislation.

Regional Transportation Authority Statewide, Illinois

Fully developed and implemented marketing plans consisting of both paid and earned media, covering the entire RTA service area.

Wrote, directed and produced radio advertisements and industrial videos. Bought paid media slots on radio and television. Fluent in market Nielsen analytics. Managed an annual communications budget of over $1 million, a gained increase from an original $300,000 budget.

Project manager for the public awareness campaign “Drive less. Live more.”. Developed campaign theme, slogan, logo, website, promotional publications and all advertising, print, media and digital.

Applied for and acquired $1.5 million federal CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation Air Quality) grant.

Created public transportation awareness campaigns, highlighting ADA commuter services. Held town halls and roundtables with elected officials and RTA Board of Directors.

Advertised transit services, working directly with Chicago radio stations and Chicago sports teams Chicago White Sox, Bulls and the Blackhawks. Created events, also designed promotional giveaways.

Wrote new and, translated existing informational materials to Spanish.
