Star Micronics America – A defective product was not quality screeened by the manufacturing engineer. My QA duty was to assure computer products were compliant when sold. The sales manager permitted my on-the-spot final inspection. This defect caused serious over-heating and my quick action, saved the company from a law-suit Department of Defense (DCMA) - While performing Goverment Source Inspection (GSI) for the Department of Defense (DCMA), a lot of more than 100 UHF man-pack radio antennas was physically inspected for defects and a critical tuning-screw was found loose and caused an out-of-frequency condition. This discovered defect was life-saving, and the U.S. Government was awarded over $100K from the defense contractor. Department of Defense (DCMA) – While doing a critical inspection on night-vision goggles at a defense contractor, I discovered that the agency quality inspection standard was over- tightened, and unwarranted, The over-inspection was excessive and had no value-added to the customer. I notified management of the uncontrolled revision for the agency tool. American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Council 170 – Client with 17 executive officers needed a remote solution with collaboration while traveling. Issue with airborne travelers could not synchronize work product offline. I designed the online cloud system for all executive officers could work on projects without losing configuration control. Working temporary to supplement hours not assigned from primary employment with the Defense Contract Management Agency as a private contractor.
