Project: GC3 Calculator 3/1/2021 06/30/2023

Technology: C++, Oracle.

Global Common Cost Calculator An enterprise Activity based Costing model for UPS US Domestic and International Product service contracts. Application was developed in C++ and used in the last 2 decades on Windows and Linux environments.

Achievements:

Oversaw team of 5 developers, rewriting the project to reduce Tech debt of legacy system to migrate into SQL based system in Oracle database.

Designed and implemented a robust database system, to store data efficiently, securely, and is accessible to meet the needs of users and applications. Designed and implemented a robust bid (service contracts) processing system in Oracle database utilizing advanced PL/SQL programing.

Create Knowledge Transfer videos for new hires which reduced KT session period by 70%. Utilize Agile project management framework with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to collaborate and coordinate with Onshore and Offshore teams, which increased team performance by about 25%.

Project: International Revenue Recovery Model, 4/15/2021 6/30/2021 Role: App Development Manager

Technology: Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE Suite, Reporting and Analysis system) Added International Revenue Recovery perspective and reporting capabilities in Oracle Business Intelligence Suite (OBIEE) for International Small Package Revenue recovery group. This involved creating a new model, database infrastructure, ETL processes and creating new Subject Area in OBIEE. Achievements:

• Designed, developed, and implemented a robust star schema-based database/data warehouse to store data efficiently, securely.

• Designed, developed/created database artifacts - tables, tablespaces, partitions, procedures/functions, and supporting ETL processes.

• Successfully trained Lead developer on

o adding Subject Area, creating Physical, Business and Presentation layers and Setup security in OBIEE.

o Administer OBIEE System.

Lead developer was involved in multiple projects, training the resource in house saved on external training costs and increased percent of utilization of the resources on multiple projects.

• Trained business users on creating dashboards and reports for the needs of business groups.

• Prototype dashboards based on user experience.

Technology: Web App, Developed Using .Net, C# – MVC architecture, ExtJS, MS SQL Server database. Took over the responsibilities on DPF App which has been in operation for 2 years. App captures Daily Vol/Rev and expenses by product for US domestic services. Provides various KPI’s in the form of graphical views, charts and reports in PDF and Excel for daily, weekly, and monthly time periods with drill down capabilities of KPI’s from Corp level to customer level. Data is consumed daily by upper management, groups like Operations, IE’s, Marketing and Sales. Achievements:

Oversaw developer team of 3 to successfully add End of Week (EOW), End of Month (EOM) View and What if Analysis features to KPI dashboards.

• Interacted with Users/Customers, created design workflow, prototype UI and dashboards. Get approval and implement in application development.

• Designed and created functional specs to create database artifacts - tables, tablespaces, partitions, procedures/functions (API’s) to support the new application features listed below.

• The EOW view allows users to view the current week’s Vol/Rev forecast, which is aligned to the outlook from the Corporate Forecasting group.

• The EOM view will allow users to view how the month is expected to end based on the actuals from completed weeks, the current week’s outlook, and the Plan for the future weeks in the month.

• Redesigned Operation stats to consolidate performance measurement against profit plan, business plan and LY. This streamlined view provides visibility to all measurements without the need to toggle between numerous filters when evaluating the impact on expense from productivity, wages and volume.

• Designed a What if analysis and NRPP (Net Rev Per Piece by segment) analysis dashboards. o Add enhanced feature for What if scenario with Incremental Vol/Rev method. o NRPP (Net Rev Per Piece by segment) analysis dashboards facilitate venue to change and analyze various key facts (Volume, Revenue, Costs etc..) and view resulting change in KPI’s by business segment.

The visibility of the KPI’s from the above features provides greater insight into current/daily business performance to upper management which was crucial to making decisions daily. Project: Financial Dashboard (FDB) 9/3/2018 3/31/2021 Technology: Web App developed using .Net, C# - MVC architecture, ExtJS, MS SQL Server database. Role: App Development Manager

Took over the responsibilities FDB App which had been in operation for two years. The Financial Dashboard provides details of UPS US Domestic product/services business operations from center level to Corp level. App Captures details of Operational and Non-Operational costs, Volume and Revenue and Third-party costs.

o Display the data received from company books financial systems - weekly GL Journals for Payroll Expenses.

• Rolling Four Months View Provides data for Daily, Weekly and Monthly time periods for a future 120 Days.

• Designed and developed - Leverage Report in Excel for IE with GAP hours and Plan Report produces Complete detail operational performances for Daily, Week to Date and Month to date.

These enhanced perspectives and reports gave in depth visibility to Business users and management; Instrumental in business decision making process by comparing business unit’s performances. Role: Sr. Programmer Analyst (Team Lead) - 08/2004 – 08/2018 Technology: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Suite Responsibility: Production support, Administration, develop, oversee development team, train - development team and users.

Instrumental in complete OBIEE system setup and Administration for Freight Forwarding and Logistics business units. Project: OBI SOAP Web Service 3/17/2008 8/24/2009 Technology: Web Service developed using .Net, C#, OBIEE SOAP API, Oracle database. The web service was developed to address OBIEE licensing. The IFA OBI system was supporting worldwide users and many end user’s needs were final reports in Excel spreadsheet. Users who didn’t need OBI analysis capabilities were using Predeveloped Excel report templates which gave access to same data through this service but without a need for OBIEE license. Both parts used the same security features for authentication and access level. This helped reduce costs by limiting the number of OBI licenses. The service has two parts; one part interacts with OBIEE using OBIEE SOAP API to feed ISP report. Another part interacts with database directly to feed Forwarding and Logistics reports. Responsibilities:

• Designed, Developed and Implemented SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based service in asp.net using Visual Studio (C#) to service MS Excel templates for reporting ISP, Forwarding and Logistics financials/Stats.
