Heat Plant/Boiler Plant Operator

· Operate and control gas/oil boilers, 100 million BTU Manual and auto settings

· Maintain, replace, and repair 12 to 500 (psi) systems. Monitor of steam, high temperature water boilers. Maintain portable boilers, service and repair during heat plant shut downs. Maintain water treatment for boilers and related systems.

· Control room duties, read check gages adjust as needed for emissions, gas/oil firing rate, and water supply to systems. Monitor pressures of heat plant. Record keeping and log all entries and averages.

· DDC computer duty, answer to all after regular duty hour alarms. Monitor all air handlers, chiller, cooling tower, ice rink life safety, fire and water alarms, check room and building temps domestic water temperatures from Heat Plant to domestic water side. Call out craftsmen to alarms as needed.

· After hour duty emergency phone for base. Monitor all calls for base police, fire department, housing units, airstrip, and call in trades men to repair, replace, and resolve emergencies.

· Monitor and log all above items as needed or as policy SOP of the contract and US Air force regulations.

· Performed and maintained boilers on all shifts

2000 to 2004 - Atmel/Unicco – Colorado Springs, CO

Industrial HVAC Technician

· Maintained and repaired electric motors, chillers, cooling towers. Operate and control gas fired boilers, repair and replace as needed.

· CDA compressed day air, PVP process vacuum pumps.

· Repair of house vacuum systems, scrubber air wash systems for computer chip company.

· Account for chemicals used by computer chip companies.

· Service acid waste and water treatment systems. Help design water softeners for boilers and designed blow down system for boilers at this plant.

· DDC systems monitor and log set point and Foxboro systems for alarms and respond to alarms. Keep records of work and pass downs of each days work.
