Sterile Processing Tech

I was hired to train as a sterile technician however upon being hired the company was starting to go paperless and in the process of submitting all files into their new software system. The patients were going to be using an ipad upon arrival to their visit instead of checking in with the front desk receptionist where that employee would usually be the one to take their name and look up their info. So with this I was asked if I could instead help to get all their patient information from the files A-Z into their new software. I trained to learn the new software. I scanned insurance information, Input personal notes, Scanned xray sheets, script notes, made outbound calls in regards to patient info, and inbound calls to transfer out. The process of taking all office files and uploading them to the computer software took a few months and in that time the sterile tech job I was hired to train and work was filled. Office work. Sterile cleaning. Copying. Scanning. I have a general knowledge for this work atmosphere however NOT sterile tech certified.
