Principle

Set up a 2000 sq. ft. shop currently with 2 Mazak SQT’s lathes, a 18MS and 15M. Also have two mill’s a Hurco Hawk 40, 3-axis, and an Atran AMCU 12 5-axis B-C machine. Also, it has a 4’x 8’ router/plasma table, a Brown & Sharp model 2 OD/ID grinder, and a Hansvedt sinker EDM. Put 3-phase into shop to run equipment. Also, while doing contract consulting jobs ranging from part modeling, CNC programming, and Post processor development to name a few.

D3 bought my old company to get them certified in the ADSK Advanced CAD/CAM/CAE software. Additional tasks include remote and on-site new-systems training, application administration, and contract design/modeling through manufacturing. The primary application focus was with the old DELCAM, now ADSK suite of advanced manufacturing software, including the PowerSOLUTIONS, while learning Autodesk’s Fusion 360.

President and CEO of a CAD/CAM/CAE company. Services include sales and support of CAD/CAM/CAE systems running on Windows and UNIX based platforms. Additional services include remote and on-site new-systems training, application administration, and contract design/modeling through manufacturing. Our primary application focus was the DELCAM suite of software, the PowerSOLUTIONS, and Parametric Technology’s Pro/ENGINEER.

Implementation Specialist: March 1997 –September 1997

Consultant working with Parametric Technology’s Pro/ENGINEER clientele. Duties consisted of foundation building, user training, special-topic seminars, system administration, process definition, planning and execution. Regional Pro/CABLE & Pro/DIAGRAM Specialist. Responsibilities also included assisting representatives on customer calls to identify and sell implementation services.

Applications Engineer: March 1995 – March 1997

Helped company open their office in St. Louis Area. Achieved $2M (USD) in sales during the first year. Duties included pre and post-sales support of Parametric Technology’s Pro/ENGINEER, PT/MODELER and DELCAM’s CAD/CAM/CAE products. Pre-sales support activities consisted of product demonstrations, seminars, and benchmarks. Attended PTC sponsored sales training. Post-sales support ranged from hardware (DEC, SGI, SUN, HP, PC) and operating systems (UNIX and Windows) set-up, product installation and configuration, application training, and implementation consulting.

Sr. Applications Engineer: May 1990 – March 1995

Pre/Post-sales support for Intergraph’s mechanical applications software running on UNIX platforms. Primary emphasis was in variational modeling and NC programming applications ranging from multiple axis machining, turning, and sheet metal fabrication. Secondary emphasis in finite element analysis, visualization, and data management using popular relational database management systems like Informix and Oracle. Attended Intergraph sponsored sales and demo skills training.

Emerson Electric - Electronics & Space Division

CAD/CAM System Administrator: July 1987 – May 1990

Supported and integrated Computervision/Sun, Applicon/Digital, and Unigraphics II/Digital CAD/CAM systems used for mechanical design. Responsibilities included formulating operating budgets, writing appropriations requests, coordinating maintenance calls, and training new users.

Senior Engineer: July 1981 – July 1987

Responsible for the design of electro-mechanical systems conforming to military specifications. Types of designs involved with include Robotics autoloader for M1 Tank, Semi-automatic loader for self-propelled Howitzer, TOW Missile Launcher crew training apparatus, Depot level tester for tail gun of B-52 bomber. All designs involved the integration of printed circuit boards and hydraulics-pneumatics within a sheet metal or cast chassis.
