Look after the elderly living with complex needs.
Assist service users with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care and assist with toileting.
Speak slowly and more clearly, repeating concepts when addressing service users with language disorders.
Consider tone of voice, body language and the words used to establish and maintain communication. Monitor the intake of prescribed medication as per their individual care plans.
Ensure that they eat healthy, well-balanced meals, healthy snacksand lots of fluids in-between. Assist with feeding when necessary.
Assist with exercising and mobility to prevent muscle atrophy.
Facilitate entertainment and activities including art therapy, board games, gardening and taking walks. Conduct damp dusting and sanitized surfaces.
Assist patients in moving in and out of the bed, using wheelchairs.
