OBJECTIVE

My objective is to utilize the education and experience I have acquired over the years to benefit a tribal or non-profit that has an approved social mission statement. I am a lifelong Alaskan Native was raised in Wainwright, Alaska.

My strengths are problem solving regarding financial issues, researching problem areas and recommending solution(s) within an organizational structure. I am an objective and result oriented individual. I tend to complete a project, deal with compliance issues versus actual practices, and deal with employees on a more personal level to increase morale within the workplace by promoting integrity. Over time, I have recognized that my main weakness is empathy for those going through hardships. There are times (I have found myself going the extra mile to help those in need) when I know it will only hinder their hardship. I have over fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of accounting and in management but have recently realized I am ready for a change from accounting to business to hopefully utilize the degree I acquired into use.

Managed all programs under the P.L. 93-638 Compacts for the tribe. I was hired at the peak/start of the Covid Epidemic in 2020. NVB is a federally funded tribal government who has approximately five (5,000) thousand members and is responsible for the social ills of our community. NVB manages approximately 30 grants that vary within each department. The mission of NVB’s statement acknowledges the social ills of the community and the desire to reduce records higher than the contingent lower forty-eight states. Departments managed by staff for our people are tribal operations, social services (children in custody within the tribe), gaming, tribal courts

(tribal state agreement to represent and manage the children who are in custody due to abuse), Environmental, Housing, general assistance, child care, and wildlife. 2020 was the year Covid spread all over and at the same time I applied for grant funding and acquired approximately ten (10) million and before the year ended, I applied for the Rescue Act Funds and NVB received over twenty (20) million to allow the tribe to develop and create programs to assist tribal members like never before. Never did the tribe ever receive cash in the account to develop infrastructure at will and this placed the tribal council in an unusual predicament. Therefore, it was recommended that an in-house council be hired so that the tribe would feel confident with regard to management of the funds. In addition, for the first time in history, the FAA decided that 2.4Ghz Broadband license would be handed over to each tribe if they chose to take on that responsibility, all with a submitted application to FAA. NVB decided that this was part of an important task that would place the tribe ahead and for the first time might be able to become self sufficient and benefit the members of the tribal government. In 2020, for the first time, an emergency assistance program issued funding to each tribal member of approximately $1,500 to assist them financially for Covid expenses. I also had to ensure that business continued as usual; social services for children going through hardship, housing issues, general assistance applicants continued to be received, wildlife issues within the community of Barrow were met on. During the pandemic, we held a skeleton crew for the most part. Most of the staff were paid to stay home confined to their families. One major project NVB implemented was setting up a place for those who had no place to go and/or acquired Covid and needed to be quarantined for at least ten (10) days which was a village requirement (passed by the city council resolution) at Page 4 of 6

the time, the pandemic spread all over. Most organizations were involved with the demands and obligations the quarantine requirements. Anyone who ask did receive assistance. Quarantining a visitor who might have had no place to go did have a place and by placing a visitor in the facility, did benefit the community a slower spread in the community. 5/2019- 3/2020 Cully Corporation, Anchorage, Alaska Title: Assistant to the President
