EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science, Liberal Studies, Minor in Business, St. John’s University, Queens, NY Director of Human Resources:

Over my career at Goldman Sachs as a Chief OperaƟng Officer and embedded Human Resource Specialist, I had the opportuniƟes to build and scale businesses on both the buy and sell sides of the firm, but with a broader mandate to scale businesses and grow revenue. My responsibiliƟes included managing strategic projects across the global firmwide enterprise at Goldman Sachs (including new technology iniƟaƟves, corporate acquisiƟons, and internal and external partnerships). Many of these efforts cut across different business units and geographies and required a detailed understanding of clients, operaƟons, and technologies. The group's responsibiliƟes included modeling, technology, and structuring complex financial transacƟons across every revenue-generaƟng business and asset class at the firm. Over fiŌeen years, we grew the group from a few dozen to over 1,000 quanƟtaƟve/technical professionals globally. In 2011, I was asked to join the global QuanƟtaƟve Investment Strategies group within the Asset Management Division. This group managed one of the largest hedge funds but had suffered some declines. I worked side-by-side with the Chief Investment Officer to rebuild the business by adding risk management, enhancing workflows, operaƟonal controls and selecƟvely idenƟfying criƟcal parts of the business to grow. One growth area was using customized separate accounts and growing it from our private wealth management business into an offering on external RIA plaƞorms. During this Ɵme, we grew revenues by almost ten Ɵmes, with a nearly flat headcount, by working with our quants and technologists to get our businesses on an ever greater scale. I have oŌen been viewed as a criƟcal culture carrier at the firm over my career, and I have had the opportunity to mentor not just my direct reports but many of the quanƟtaƟve professionals who became leaders of the firm.

Thank you for considering my candidacy, and I look forward to discussing how my skills align with your needs.

Best Regards,

Maria Pandolfo
