HR Manager for seven U.S. manufacturing facilities PAK Technologies - Milwaukee, WI

Privately-owned manufacturing and packaging company - Facilities each had their product/industry focus: food, chemical/sanitation, beauty/grooming, adhesives, and ice melt/salt products. February 2023 to March 2024

Responsible for all HR-related functions for manufacturing facilities located in Wisconsin, Virgina, and New York. (HR Department of two)

Created & updated HR policies & procedures, including the first update & distribution of the employee handbook since 2012. Included state-specific addendums.

Brought company to compliance with multiple government requirements, including I-9s, ACA documentation, OSHA 300/301, recording and submission of data, EEO-1 reporting, and document retention.

Developed Supervisor & Manager training to introduce new company policies

& expectations, as well as State & Federal employment law and what it means to be an Agent of the Company.

Maintained HRIS (UKG), including correction of initial implementation issues and rolling out additional modules of the system. Included increasing the use of employee self-service capabilities and improving the overall payroll process.

Developed ownership of HRIS system and payroll processes; taught proper communication techniques to use when interacting with employees in various levels of the organization; coached on the importance of culture and customer service approach; trained on various government reporting requirements. Responsible for all HR-related functions for manufacturing facilities located in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. (One-person HR Department)
