I am both a Business Management and Public Health Professional Specialised in control and prevention of both communicable & non communicable diseases control programs, occupational health and safety, water, sanitation and hygiene both in Ethiopia and various African countries with more than 13 years of work experience at different posts and organizations. Currently, I am working as a Public Health Professional Specialist II for the Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health, mainly supporting the development, implementation and evaluations of the national health policy, strategy, projects financed by both government and partners.

13 years of experience as a various national project manager, including, the Geshiyaro Project (five-year research programme), WASH-NTD integration project, which was funded by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID; ARIES: 203145); and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the ENVISION project implemented by RTI International under cooperative agreement number [AID-OAA-A-11-00048], mainly focusing on contractor employees including managing those personnel to ensure they have sufficient tools to coordinate and deliver national WASH-NTD projects.

I had been recruited by Management for Health as a regional consultant for Africa on the revision of the National Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), which was supported by the International Labour Organization and successfully accomplished all the tasks and responsibilities vested on me.

Furthermore, I had been actively participating in neglected tropical diseases for the past seven years, mainly on the management, development and implementation of strategies and projects at national level focusing on the addressing health equity, social determinants of health and human rights, to prevent priority morbidity, mortality and disability related to NTD’s.
