6. Professional Experience:

i) Director, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Joined with the University Grants Commission of bangladesh ( UGC ),Apex Body of the Higher Education of the Ministry of Education,Govt. of Bangladesh in January,1975 as Assistant Director of Research & Publications and worked in different positions like Deputy Director & Additional Director and lastly as Director of Research & Publications and worked also as Director of Training,Instrumentation & Monitoring Department of the UGC up to December,2007.

During the service with the UGC, I was involved in scrutinizing Research Projects,providing funds,visit & monitoring the Research Projects,compiling the Final Reports for Publications,conducted Training Programs for Professional Courses & monitored University Teachers Training Programs,upgraded Syllabuses of different courses of Academic programs of the Universities,published UGC Publications,Books,Journals,Articles,etc.

Total Service: 33 years (From 1975 to 2007).

ii) Advisor, Students Counseling & Academic Programs,

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology,Dhaka,Bangladesh.

Involved in guiding students during admission,counseled them in their academic activities & programs and advised students for involving in extra curricular activities and monitored the programs as well,etc.

Conducted and completed research project “Study of Magnetic Polarity and Magnetic Field Intensity of the Earth’s Crust along both sides of Dauki Fault in Bangladesh” under the supervision of National Oceanographic & Maritime Institute (NOAMI) during the period 2006-2007 with the financial assistance of the Ministry of Science Information & Communication Technology, Govt. of Bangladesh and later report of the research work was published in the Journal of the Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Science (BAAS) in its Annual Conference in 2007 and later the report was also published in foreign Journal of Science, France.
