Both entries, The Apple Tree and Orange Pill, won 2nd and 3rd place. The stories explored themes of drug abuse, climate catastrophe, and childhood.

My first essay written in college was selected to be featured in a book of model essays by Macmillan Publishers. The piece, Starving for Control, was included in the Remembering an Event section, and explored eating disorder culture in America, particularly through the lens of adolescent girls.
