Essential Job Duties to include but not limited to the following Quality Functions:
Ensure the delivery of high standards and compliance with customers Quality Management System (QMS).
Performing all duties of quality control inspection including material, dimensional, welding, NDE inspections accepting or rejecting questionable or unsatisfactory conditions in materials or workmanship or referring to higher authority for decision making.
Arranging chemical, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical, NDT and hydrostatic test. Arranging to qualify and obtaining all the necessary paperwork for welders, welding operator, welding procedure qualification records as required.
Responsible for maintaining/updating quality control program and manual.
Maintaining liaison with customers, customer’s inspectors, NDE suppliers, sub-contractors and Federal Government inspection representatives.
Responsible for writing, reviewing, designating and/or implementing appropriate welding procedures, inspection test plans for final turn over data books that are specific as per in-house and/or customer requirements and specifications.
Training the QC staff and others in the interpretation and application of standards, codes, and specifications.
Closely monitor the quality with sub-vendors and/or sub-contractors as needed.
