This was a 6 month position until the original associate returned from medical leave. After the 6 months the warehouse manager asked HR to approve a position for me to stay on but he was denied. My duties were Quality Assurance which required making sure the products were accurately assembled together packaged with all accurate parts that were included with each product, doing counts to ensure that we had the correct number of product in our inventory, checking to ensure that the correct number was ordered and when it would be delivered, then checking to ensure each product was in its destined place. Shipping which included assigning myself orders, picking items for each assigned order, printing an invoice to review each item I had picked, counting items to ensure I picked the correct amount, packaging the order, printing multiple labels for boxes and packages for the assigned order, applying the labels, printing out receipts and then placing packages in the correct designated area for delivery. Receiving which included using a RF reader to scan totes of inventory, counting the number of each item being put into inventory, putting product into their proper assigned destination. Efficiency which included checking emails that allowed me to know if there were any issues with any orders that were sent out or delivered to our customers, going back and counting all of the product that was allegedly missing or that they allegedly received too many of then recording my finding, if the statement in the email happened to be correct then finding out which employee was assigned the order to go over it with them then finding out where they went wrong, correcting the issue then finding a solution so that it doesn’t happen again. All tasks included operating hand operated pallet jacks, climbing ladders, lifting 35 lbs to 65 lbs repetitively, loading orders onto pallets if needed then wrapping the pallet, and using a RF scanner for all tasks.
