Expertise in representing clients within the broad spectrum of Labor and Employment Law including but not limited to, Title VII, unfair labor practices, labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, grievances, MSPB, and ADA and Rehabilitation Act grievances and EEO cases that have resulted either in a jury trial or arguments in Federal Appeals courts. History of successfully defending both, employees and employers, state and federal.
Effectively litigated jury trials in the Puerto Rico Federal District Court resulting in multiple Title VII related wins. Prevailed multiple times via motion for summary judgment when representing employers. Litigated PHV in Northern District of West Virginia.
Provide representation for bargaining unit employees of the AFGE Council 33 of the Federal Bureau of Prisons in personnel and discrimination matters since 2002. Have overseen +150 grievances and/or EEO cases through arbitration or EEO process to date. 80% of cases were settled or won at various stages throughout proceedings.
Lead client mediation and negation sessions during state, federal, and administrative proceedings to facilitate pre-trail solutions while assisting both sides in resolving issues with minimal business and financial impact.
Represented employers and employees in EEO matters in private and public sector in labor and employment law to resolve employee complaints and assist both sides in securing the outcome they desire.
