Reports to the Maintenance Manager. Supervises the operation of Tactical Vehicles/General Support efforts that support intermediate maintenance in support of tactical wheeled/tracked vehicles and general support of equipment. Equipment includes tactical wheeled/tracked vehicles, ground support equipment, power generators, air-compressors, steam cleaners, machine welding, small component repair, small arms weapons and commo repair. Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures established policies and procedures are effectively enforced. Controls shop maintenance to ensure maximum utilization of personnel assigned. Maintains the highest quality of workmanship equal to or exceeding Army standards.

• Experience on request for proposal and labor cost estimates. Experience managing fund codes and contract line-item numbers. Provides concept of support as required by missions.

• Maintains control over requirements for parts and materials, utilizes controlled substitution when supplies are not readily available, and enforces supply economy and controls usage and care of Government parts, tools, and equipment.

• Provides reports applicable to his maintenance operations in the form of daily, periodic, or special reports. Acquires data from GCSS-Army to create the maintenance workbook, CDRL and other required data. Experience working with Microsoft office excel.

• Attends weekly maintenance meetings with the government and customers to brief equipment readiness and priorities. Provide status of job orders to Units Maintenance officers or senior Tech.

• Provides technical assistance pertaining to operations, modification and maintenance equipment. Plans and expedites equipment through the repair shops.

• Maintains surveillance over the operation to detect areas of injury potential, unsafe acts or conditions, and takes immediate action to correct unsatisfactory situations.

• Reviews job description for currency and accuracy and makes necessary changes; reports detailing of employees to jobs other than their own. Interviews candidates for vacancies and recommends selections. Counsel’s employees on problems adjusts informal complaints through discussion with employees.

Must collaborate with the G4 COMET Manager in developing a logistics assessment, review, and analysis program that is compliant with the intent and the published policies and procedures of the supported Commanders. Collaborate with the G4 COMET Manager in developing a logistics assessment, review, and analysis program that is compliant with the intent and the published policies and procedures of the supported Commanders. The program shall be based on applicable Army regulations, field manuals, technical manuals, Safety of Use Messages (SOUM's), Maintenance Advisory Messages (MAM's), FORSCOM and local command supplements, and any other applicable governing directives and policies of federal, state, and local agencies. This program shall focus on those activities, practices, and procedures directly related to logistics readiness events such as the Army Strategic Readiness Assessment (ASRA), Logistics Readiness Review (LRR), and the FORSCOM Readiness Review (FRR). Provide a report that summarizes all logistics assessments, reviews, and analyses for the Commanders.

Responsible to provide a comprehensive assessment of logistics training and define training requirements to include:

• An analysis of perishable skills.

• Identification of Terminal Learning Objectives (TLO).

• Development of outcome metrics.

• Provide hands-on evaluation for logistics training.

Responsible for drafting training curricula for G4 approval designed for delivery in the operational environment and shall emphasize hands on instruction for Soldiers. Work with the G4s in: identifying and defining requirements for systems embedded training, determining Training Aids, Devices, Simulations and Simulators (TADSS) requirements and coordinate development of TADSS materials. Assist the G4 to develop for USG approval associated POI materials such as lesson plans, student handouts and instructor manuals as needed.
