EXPERIENCE
The Abbey, Tucson, AZ — Back Server
2012-2013
Introduction to the service industry. Under the direction of Brian Metzger, a student of Sam Fox, it was here I developed a strong foundation in hospitality and the restaurant business.
El Charro Cafe, Tucson, AZ — Busser/Expo/Server
2014-2016
First serving job. El Charro cafe since 1922 has been an authentic Sonoran-Mexican food destination for travelers and Tucson locals. Promoted from busser to expo to server within 4 months. Experience as an expo taught me communication skills with back of house. Serving sections as large as 8 tables quickly taught me how to allocate my energy and focus efficiently.
The Horseshoe Grill, Tucson, AZ — Server/Bartender 2016-2018
First bartending job. The Horseshoe Grill is a neighborhood BBQ pit and steakhouse. Bartending improved my sense of hospitality with one on one guest interaction, as well as wine and cocktail knowledge. Young’s Market Company held several beverage classes teaching me proper bottle service and spirits knowledge. Working the bar and the well with an extensive cocktail menu gave me insight and patience when waiting for drinks as a server.
Charro Steak & Del Rey, Tucson, AZ — Server
2017-2020
A sister restaurant to El Charro Cafe, Steak and Del Rey is a dual concept in downtown Tucson with sustainable seafood on one side, and a sonoran steakhouse on the other. Under the direction of Executive Chef Gary Hickey, I gained a deeper appreciation for hospitality and culinary arts. Highlights

The Anchor, Venice, Los Angeles, CA — Server/Manager 2021-2024
My first restaurant job in Los Angeles. The Anchor for the last 12 years has been serving Venice locals and travelers fresh seafood and famous lobster rolls until the unfortunate closing in December of last year. After about a year of serving, I was promoted to Manager. Learning the business side of the industry, I can now see the bigger picture. Creating a weekly schedule, managing food and labor costs, hiring and terminating team members, analyzing end of day reports, keeping bar and kitchen inventory, creating seasonal menus, booking reservations and private events, and much more I believe will all serve me well in the future wherever I work. After the closing of the doors, we continued operation of our food truck. I have little experience in the back of house, however I quickly learned how to cook in and maintain a kitchen while it was just the owner, Kristin Ciccolela and myself working on the truck.
