Graduate Research Assistant

June 2023 – January 2024
• Facilitated a 4-hour mixed-methods focus group session to evaluate participants’ experience in a public health leadership program called the Region V Public Health Leadership Institute. The focus group meeting included a Ripple Effects Mapping session and a group interview session.
• Collected and synthesized the participants’ responses into transcripts for analysis.
• Analyzed and coded the transcripts using NVIVO software, creating over 30 different codes organized in a codebook.
• Wrote, edited, and created figures for the study’s research paper that will soon be published.
Teaching Assistant – School of Public Health

• Graded and provided feedback to all weekly assignments and course projects of over 60 students.
• Reviewed and made recommendations for syllabus and lesson plan based on student reviews and performance.
• Supported students struggling in the course by providing one-on-one video chat meetings that allowed them to express their questions and concerns. All students struggling were able to pass the course.
