These are some of my professional projects:

Converted corporate reporting system from Access to SQL Server Reporting Services at Castle Oil. Also checked for orphaned records in database tables. Accounts receivable errors were rolled up in reports and checked by AR staff.

Replaced legacy DOS invoicing system with a .NET application at Castle OIL. The new application also emailed Invoices to customers and imported the DOS flat file invoice into SQL Server. Customer email addresses were validated in the app and stored in a database table and monitored, returned emails and undeliverable faxes were checked and monitored and cleansed by Billing Department staff. No new equipment needed at Castle.

Created SQL Server Integrated Services package that used FTP to pull oil prices stored in a flat file on a server in London, imported the prices into a database at Castle Oil. The price information was then sent to the appropriate employees by subscription in Report Services. This was done every weekday at 7pm. All data captured from the London Server was automatically analyzed, cleansed and stored in database tables. Data integrity was checked daily and also searched for orphaned records. Saved Castle about $35,000.

ColdFusion Web development at Pace University. (Five Years)

ColdFusion, JavaScript, JQuery, ASP for NACTEL web site at Pace University.

Set up automated system for online course posting at Pace University i.e. course schedule entered in database table by course advisors, then this information was selected from the table by the web page.

Created a stored procedure that did the work of a student advisor. It selected the student’s program then displayed the courses that the student has passed. Then selected the courses required to finish that program. Calculated the number of credits passed the number required. Displayed the courses the courses in a web page showed courses passed courses left to take and determined when the course will be scheduled again at Pace University’s NACTEL program. Saved hours of work for Student Advisors.

Student information for bachelor’s degree students had to be modified to include the school year and semester the course was taken because this information was not originally needed since the school only granted associates degrees in telecommunications. This information was needed to determine what courses were required for a BS degree when the student entered the program. Course requirements changed each year.

Created a Point-of-Sale program for black top at Peckham Industries. All data was verified at the application level. Brought the Point-of-Sale program in house.

Imported personnel information i.e. work experience for applicants from an Access program to SQL Server at Personnel Systems.
