Supervised cash/credit card handling, and proper insurance billing to ensure a successful customer experience. Be able to verify and interpret provider DEA number. Educated customers and answered all of their menu questions and concerns. Promote patient integrity by implementing and following HIPAA guidelines.

Ensure pharmacy department is kept near and prepared, noise levels are kept to a minimum, no personal cell phone use, printer supply is adequate, and old labels are shredded and to restock the pharmacy by placing new drugs on shelves, refrigerator, etc.

The ability to read prescriptions and to provide accurate patient information, drug names, including brand names and generic names, strengths, units of measurement, routes for administration, frequency of administration, directions for use, DAW codes, and common abbreviations, symbols, and terminology.

Instruct patients on payment information including copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and prescription cards, such as IF numbers, group numbers, converged dates, Rd BIN numbers, and RX Group numbers.

Make high-risk medications easier to distinguish with tall man lettering and look-alike drug names. Validate patient's name, date of birth, number of scripts picked up, ensure the scripts are correct, receive payment, and ensure the pharmacists can consult with the patient at the register.

Medications that are expired, damaged, overstocked, or re-called must be returned based on the pharmacy's return policy for legend and controlled drugs (full and partial quantities)
