Regulatory Background
Enforcement of State (Alabama) regulations pursuant to the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act
(RCRA). This involved conducting inspections of hazardous waste generators, transporters, and TSDFs. Drafting Notice of Violation letters to companies in non-compliance. Investigating complaints of improper management of hazardous waste. Assessing clean-up techniques for spills of hazardous materials Reviewing documents in permit applications to determine compliance with applicable regulations. Evaluating designs for hazardous waste management units. Coordinating with the USEPA in the enforcement of the RCRA regulations. And close interaction with private consultants and the regulated community. Also a member of the Chemical Waste Management Monitoring Team at Emelle, AL. Geomembrane Background
Experience in almost all phases of the geomembrane industry, including: sale of tank liners, secondary containment liners, and surface impoundment liners. Training of salesmen and technical staff. Supervision of quoting and job estimating. Setting of product prices. Attending trade shows. Acting as consultant to customers regarding liner usage. Coordinating with vendors in response to customer needs. Check shop drawings for accuracy. Production and Quality Control supervision. Evaluating plant costs. Field modification and repair of liners.
