My duties involved in-depth analysis of requirements considering current and future state architectures to ensure a state-of-the-art solution fit that would meet both the business demands and the financial budget. I completed proposals that required formal documentation outlining the architecture, best practice recommendations, and QA testing results.

My senior level role required extensive daily networking, strong communications, prioritization, and management for our Fortune 500 clients, NEC teams across the world such as NEC Japan Storage Development, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and our Channel Partners. As the North American Lead, I was called upon to travel to Japan for new product launch and was responsible to create the U.S. training materials and provide instructor led courses for our more junior level technical staff, as well as for our clients on NECs Storage Hardware and Software products that included Replication, Snapshot, Protection, Virtualization, Multipath and Optimization, and VMM (VMware, Hyper-V). These configurations were connected and integrated via Brocade and McData switches where my in-depth knowledge of their operation was key to successful HP sales and continued client investment. The configurations included FC60 AutoRAID, XP512, and XP1024 storage arrays utilizing the StorageTek L class and HP Galactica series storage libraries. The libraries support various tape technologies including DLT and LTO tape drives with both SCSI and Fibre technology.

I designed and executed test plans in conjunction with Development, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Customer Service for qualification of the above components including various Host Bus Adapters from Qlogic, Emulex, Agilent, EMC Symmetrix and HP XP arrays, XP AutoPath, and Microsoft Clustering Certifications. I successfully solved and documented numerous configuration problems inside the SAN for use in generating technical white papers and customer documentation.
