Working in the hospital setting my responsibilities varied often I worked all three shifts throughout my work week, I coordinated and managed drug and alcohol groups, mental health groups, adolescent groups, geriatric groups, and performed groups in the out patient program, after every session was completed I logged and filed every patients response from the group session. While working on the units I helped assist maintaining the hospital setting I performed patient monitoring throughout every unit checking the patients whereabouts every 15 minutes of every hour during my work shift, while working on the unit I also monitored patient behavioral patterns on every unit except geriatric and logging my observations from my shift in each individual patients chart for the doctor to review it the following day and recommend what behavioral medicine that would be best for each patient. While working overnight I prepared new admissions charts and performed chart breakdowns upon discharge. I also worked in admissions as per diem my duties in that area were to interview the new admissions, performed heart rates, ran labs to view what each patient had in their system to ensure they get the proper treatment, I also had to reach out to each new admission insurance companies to find the best treatment for each patient. While working at the hospital I developed certain skills such as blood drawing performing ekg and I was transferred to the emergency department where I participated in rapid responses in emergency situations which I worked there for 4 years im a expert at phlebotomy and ekg and I perform very well under pressure the emergency department can be very unpredictable and I performed at the best of my ability at any giving time without any hesitation or panic I been employee of the month on multiple occasions I picked up any extra shift I was asked to also switching to the er (pess) department working with nurses and screeners on patients and making decisions that are voluntary or involuntary or releasing the patients while also assisting in patient emergencies also performing vitals blood work and ekg and reporting it to the doctors. Along with working in the er I floated around to various units such as same day surgery where I worked as a surgerical tech also in the or (operating room) as a tech as well, I also assisted in cat scan as a tech with experience in being a tech for x ray I'm familiar with medical terms as well.
