I am English teacher fresh from an assignment in South Korea, seeking a permanent or part-time position. You will not be disappointed, as I feel I could bring my passion for learning, aptitude for technology, and fast, responsive client service skills to you. TEACHING EXPERIENCE

ELEMENTARY ENGLISH TEACHER, EPIK PROGRAM, SOUTH KOREA I took a one-year contract to teach English for the Chungcheongbukdo province in South Korea. Duties included planning and teaching a standardized curriculum for grades three through six, organizing my schedule among three schools and twenty-two groups, creating activities for the inter-semester period, and participating in the district teacher training program.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER, VARIOUS DISTRICTS, SONOMA COUNTY, CA 2007-PRESENT I have been on call to teach every grade and every subject all over the Sonoma County area. Duties included carrying out pre-written lesson plans, or sometimes improvising them on my own, as well as recording accurate attendance. Following the closure of Mesa, I was moved Ridgway High School to teach English to grades 9-12. Ridgway is an alternative school, serving those in need of the extra attention needed to help them earn their credits and graduate. My reason for leaving is that it was not a good fit for me, and I absolutely love the variety, flexibility, and autonomy that come with being a substitute.

I have more than ten years of experience in a variety of schools and classrooms, writing lesson plans, carrying out those of other teachers, and working with students and their parents. At one position, I spearheaded the first fully paperless classroom ever at Ridgway. I am proficient in a wide variety of software, and as such was made the webmaster of Ridgway High School in Santa Rosa. Additionally, I can troubleshoot video equipment, ChromeBooks, Elmos, and whatever other tech teachers fear handing to a substitute.
