• Preparation of the Operations Plan and coordination of activities at the competition and non-competition venues of the Games, following the Accreditation, Security, Protocol and Ceremonial processes required by the IOC-International Olympic Committee, Panam Sports and APC-American Paralympic Committee.

• Definition of the types of official identification documents to be used in this event (the official identification or Accreditation certifies a person as a participant of the Games due to his/her specific role (Athlete, Workforce, Press, Broadcaster, Volunteer, member of a Sports Federation or Committee/Games Family, State authority, etc.), and allows access to certain services (facility to obtain a temporary visa if a foreigner, as well as free access to venues, accommodation, transport, catering, etc.).

• Constant communication with participating national and international organizations to confirm and update the list of their representatives. Verification of their national and international judicial records and allocation of accreditation badges only to those free of such records.

• Management of immigration permits for accredited strangers before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Sending official accreditation badges with visa stamps to their places of origin before the event.

• Adapting IOC policies and procedures on the Accreditation process for this event, disseminating them to all work areas for their knowledge and application, and supervising their correct compliance during the Games.

• Coordination with national and international accreditation holders to manage their air transfers from/to their places of origin.

• Management for the location of Accreditation Offices in venues (to attend to local participants), and to cover their logistical (installation or conditioning of space to be used, equipment, transfer of materials, and technical qualification). Monitoring of their effective functioning and service during the event.

• Periodic visits to the venues to observe the progress of construction and/or adaptation, to plan in situ and subsequently implement the zoning of their areas

(delimitation of spaces for the exclusive use and circulation of accredited participants), as well as their security controls.

• Induction and regular training of project staff and volunteers. Designation of responsibilities, supervision and reporting of performance to the immediate management of those hired during the organization and execution of the event in their respective locations, as well as their correct treatment of the volunteers under their charge.

• Verification of the well-being of the volunteers, and allocation of participation schedules according to their availability.

• Coordination with those in charge of other areas (Venue Management, Sports Management, etc.) to enable immediate decisions to be taken in the event of any incidents that could compromise the normal event development during its execution at the venue. Achievements:

100% compliance with the accreditation schedule: All participants (athletes, judges, broadcasts, press, members of the Olympic Committee, representatives of national/international entities and sports organizations, etc.), received the required permits for their entry and stay in the country on time.

95% of the members of the international delegations expressed their satisfaction with the timely and correct assignment of their venues, accommodation, transfers, and protocol treatment provided.

The installation, implementation, and operation of the Accreditation Offices in the competition and non-competition venues were completed in advance of the deadline set for that purpose.
