WORK EXPERIENCE
Assistant Manager
O'Reilly Auto Parts - Commerce City, CO
May 2019 to July 2020
Open/ close store which included making the store "Grand owning day" ready, by making sure merchandise was front
facing and neat, clean and properly labeled/ tagged. Sweep/ mop store front floors if necessary, clean store front windows if
needed, clear off cash counters and make sure pin pads, computer's & telephones were operating correctly. Count main
safe and maintain a certain amount of coin and bills to make change for registers throughout the day as well as next day (if
banks were to be closed i.e. Sunday's & holidays). Print daily paperwork, maintain inventory discrepancies, make changes
when necessary, file in appropriate places. Count the previous days deposits, fill out deposit paperwork, with precision
accuracy & do the daily bank run to deposit the money. Prepare current days cash drawers. Tidy and disinfect store. Work
the sales counter up front as well as the commercial counter. Supervise a crew of 8-13 employees in one of the busiest
stores in the district.
As assistant manager I was required to learn all of the positions. That in turn led me to experience checking in freight,
preparing returns/ warranties & cores to go back out. I gained the experience of unloading pallets & reloading pallets and
preparing them to be shipped out. Preparing the paperwork and scanning merchandise in to stock.
I was also trained in revamping planograms, which entails clearing out the old stock cleaning the shelves, removing all old
price labels and knowing how to read the paperwork to stock completely different merchandise and move the shelving if
necessary. Then how to read the pricing labels & know what to restock as well as how much of each product to stock &
what to place on sale etc.
I was very well stationed in the commercial dept, which are treated as our "elite" customers and held at top priority. I was
expected to maintain the utmost of customer service, pull orders & maintain a schedule of ongoing deliveries for the
drivers.
During the covid-19 closures, we were deemed a necessity and remained often, our staff slowly dwindled and all positions
suffered greatly. We managed to pull thru at times working open to close. It was tireless motivation at times but we pulled
thru with only two employees having the virus affect their families.

Started the company from the ground up. I hired, managed as well as worked amongst as many as 20 employees at one
time. I maintained inventory, scheduling, laundry, accounting as well as cleaning and maintaining quality customer service. I
was a standing member of the BBB for well over 5 years, and maintained a 5 star rating on the front page of Google four
the last 3 years I was in business. I upheld an average of 30 customers on a regular basis plus took on move out cleans,
one time cleans, gifted cleans, as well as new construction cleans and specialty cleans (i.e. windows, carpets, pre/post
party etc.)
